What defaults mean
- 20% PoE headroom: a starting point, not a standards requirement.
- 85% inverter efficiency: a simple default that varies by model and load.
- 70% usable battery factor: a conservative allowance for age and discharge effects.
- 0.8 power factor: an assumption when product data is unavailable; replace it when known.
Safety boundary
Even low-voltage communication work must follow building, electrical and fire rules, cable ratings and site conditions. Use a qualified professional for mains wiring or fixed electrical changes.
Revision policy
We prioritize official standards explanations and manufacturer sources, with review dates on guides. A correction channel will be added with the public release.
